Human Resources Operations Manager

Our client, a service provider in the Sharon Hill area, is seeking a Human Resources Operations Manager. The HR Operations Manager will advise and counsel the Operations Management team on employee relations and human resources matters including selection and retention, performance management, learning management, rewards management, discipline, and recognition. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of progressive HR experience.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Partner with HR Director and Operations Managers to develop and implement formalized selection criteria, onboarding programs, training initiatives, and retention strategies and programs
Responsible for the selection, hiring, onboarding, and orientation of all contingent and regular operations staff
Measure and manage employee turnover files, and provide advice on implications to management team
Responsible for compliance with Health & Safety regulations (including chairing the Safety Committee, oversight of safety training, OSHA log, incident reporting, and hazard inspection)
Responsible for work-related claims management and safety issues in the operations area
Ensure compliance obligations are met (payroll, benefits, regulatory and government requirements, etc.)
Provide guidance to management team to ensure staff is managed in accordance with established HR procedures and policies
Work with management team members on staff discipline issues and resolutions
Assist management with monitoring employee absenteeism and provide guidance on attendance policy and disciplinary action
Handle investigations and ensure proper preparation of all documentation related to employee problem behavior, progressive discipline, and resolution
Lead business process improvement initiatives
Develop new training programs and initiatives
Other responsibilities as assigned
Bachelor's degree required
Professional HR designation preferred (PHR/SHRM-CP)
5-7 years progressive HR experience to include employee selection, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and process improvement
3+ years training and employee development experience in a production environment
Knowledge of OSHA law and regulations, and workers' compensation regulations
The ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures
Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment
Demonstrated experience driving processes improvements
The ability prioritize and multitask
Must be willing to work a schedule that may on occasion include the 2nd or 3rd shift
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Strong leadership presence and interpersonal skills
Excellent communication, facilitation, and team building skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
